Floral Dresses for Spring.

By | February 18, 2021

Between locks and loungewear, there’s not much to get pumped about right now, but there’s one huge thing that I’m beginning to look forward to, and that’s spring floral dresses.
High-street and designer labels have slowly begun to drop their new offerings, and I can guarantee you that they will soon be both metaphorically and physically blooming.
Floaty, midi, micro or super-structured – there are lots of options to keep up with the trend this season. See our summer fashion trends article, to see this season’s style shift: feel good dresses.

Floral wedding skirts
Yeah, we all know that it’s hopeful, so it doesn’t hurt to prepare ahead for the wedding guest season. If you want to stand out from the crowd, take the ‘feel good wear’ style seriously and go for loud prints and bold colours. We’re especially fond of pinks and reds this season.
Designers such as Marni, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana and Badgley Mischka welcomed tropical vibes on their SS21 catwalks, adding a new spin to rather stale florals. That said, if you’re more of a wallflower (Pun intended, I’m sorry), then don’t worry, there’s still a lot of discreet ways to make florals this season. Brands such as Aje and Rixo have some creative ways to resist saccharine, thanks to abstract prints, subdued colors and patchwork details.

What are you wearing with a floral dress?
Don’t feel like you’ve lost your money purchasing a dress that you’ll only wear once. The beauty of most floral dresses is that they can be quickly styled. I personally enjoy matching mine with an ugly sandal, whether it’s a chunky flip flop or Birkenstock model flats. Pre-sandal season, I’m going to wear mine with some track-sole boots to combat the over-feminine sensation.
Of course, once you dress up, then the scarce sandal is still a winner. No matter how you go, you can purchase my version of the best floral dresses below.
